Best Feats for a Rogue in BG3

While there are plenty of options for Feats in Baldur’s Gate 3, we have decided on six that provide the best perks and bonuses. These will work with any Rogue subclass, so that isn’t a concern or obstacle.

Dual Wielder

If you’ve built out a Rogue as more of an Assassin, you’ve likely stuck to equipping them with two knives. While this is certainly effective, there aren’t a lot of amazing knives and daggers in the game.

However, there are some terrific swords, and with the Dual Wielder feat you can give your Rogue more versatility to better maximize their damage output by allowing them to dual wield larger armaments. You also get the bonus to Armor Class even if you only equip two knives, so it’s worthwhile no matter what you choose to equip.

Mage Slayer

There are a ton of magic users you’ll fight throughout the Baldur’s Gate 3 campaign. The range of their attacks makes them dangerous, but there is a clear way to gain the upper hand while they spend every turn slinging spells.

Taking the Mage Slayer Feat with a Rogue is perfect in this regard. They can sneak up behind said magical foes, and if their initial sneak attack misses or fails to kill the target, their follow-up spell use gives you a free shot.

Mobile

Considering a Rogue is all about sneaking and stealth, it makes sense to give them this Feat.

Mobile cancels out any sort of movement penalty based on difficult terrain, and you get a permanent movement speed boost to boot. The latter is highly worthwhile for Rogues in particular, as it’ll allow them to more easily reach the optimal positions needed for their ranged sneak attacks.

Plus, the ability to disengage from being surrounded without fearing the reprisal of an opportunity attack is exceptionally useful for getting them in and out of an enemy’s range fast.

Savage Attacker

If you play as an Assassin and want to utilize sneak attacks better, the chance to get the guaranteed best roll on damage is important. There’s nothing worse than hiding and setting up the perfect sneak attack for it not to kill the target, and then you get pulled into a fight you wanted to avoid.

Luckily, Savage Attacker can mitigate this by allowing you to roll twice when making a melee attack. The highest roll is then used, allowing you to substantially increase your chances of hitting or Criting an opponent.

Sharpshooter

As any Rogue needs a bow or crossbow in their loadout, this Feat is a must.

Though you are losing a rather significant five points on rolls so long as it’s primary effect is active, the fact that you get a 10-damage bonus evens that out respectably. Even without it, the added bonus of ignoring any High Ground penalties makes this one of the best Rogue Feats in BG3 by a landslide, allowing you to snipe enemies with sneak attacks fat more easily.

Skilled

Skilled is useful in that it lets you select three new proficiencies.

For a Rogue, this can mean gaining the next level of armor class or equipping more melee weapon types. This is also the perfect time to give your Rogue the proficiency for Heavy Crossbows and truly become a ranged menace.

Lucky

This feat is good for both Rogues and Assassins. With it, you get three luck points, which can be used as an advantage during a fight. This feature replenishes after a long rest.

It is particularly useful if you find yourself alone, surrounded by enemies, and with nowhere to hide. With the Lucky feat, you can create an advantage for yourself and manage to put out a sneak attack on your enemies.

With any hope, this breakdown of the best Feats for a Rogue in Baldur’s Gate 3 will help you improve your created character’s performance or make Astarion even more deadly. For more Feat guides and other useful articles, you can check out our other relevant content down below.
