Mojang has just given players their first official look at Minecraft’s next update – Tricky Trials. Along with the rundown on what to expect, they also gave us a release date of June 13th. With such a short window between now and when we can play it, here are the five changes we anticipate the most for Minecraft’s Tricky Trials update.

Tricky Trial Chambers

The Trial Chambers are brand-new structures that can be found throughout the world. Not only will they be visually striking being built out of copper blocks, but there will be plenty to do. They’re home to two new mobs and some other challenges, although they didn’t explain what these are. The Trial Chambers will also be filled with traps designed to get in your head and lead you astray.

With each passing Mob Vote event, fans have continuously wondered about the lost creatures who didn’t make the cut, especially after the neck-and-neck race of the latest 2023 celebration. Although the armadillo took the top spot this year, Minecraft player Bogiihboi has suggested adding another beloved character based on the design of the new Trial Chambers. This creature is none other than the Copper Golem, who previously lost back in the Mob Vote 2021 event.

If you take a look at the layout of these chambers, you’ll notice just how much Copper lies within this vicinity, so wouldn’t it make sense to have a golem of the same type? Considering that the character can be made with this material similar to the Iron Golem, it seems plausible for it to be located there. Bogiihboi also proposes that the lost mob could be a statue that could be unoxidized to keep it as a companion.

The Minecraft Live 2023 event showcases many new updates for the series, from the Mob Vote winner to an upcoming Star Wars DLC. Like past celebrations, it gave us some insight into the next phase with Version 1.21, ushering in an all-new mode that will put your exploration and warrior skills to the test.

These challenges will known as “Trial Chambers,” where players can travel through an extensive corridor filled with the latest decorative blocks. While you get lost in this immersive area, you’ll discover hidden treasures in procedurally generated rooms. That means each experience will be different each time, no matter how many Trail Chambers you find, thanks to its randomized layout.

After a close race between the penguin, armadillo, and crab, the Minecraft Mob Vote 2023 event has officially declared its winner, with the armadillo reigning supreme in poll numbers.

Although it was a neck-and-neck race, the armadillo was among the top contenders, especially since it was the clear winner in many fan-created polls. What makes it so unique is that it can provide you with scute, a new resource that can be used with the Wolf armor to boost your horse’s defenses.

Minecraft’s first Snapshot of Version 1.20, also known as Trails & Tales, has revealed significant changes to the majestic Overworld, showcasing new designs for Armor Trims, Archaeology, signs, and many more.

Aside from discovering Suspicious Sand, players can now dig up Suspicious Gravel blocks to unearth the ancient artifacts in Cold and Warm Ocean Ruins. You’ll also be able to explore the Trail Ruins, a primeval concealed base, to gather valuable gear for your journey.

The Xbox Developer Direct stream has revealed more about Minecraft Legends, including that the game’s campaign will be fully playable in co-op. There’s no reason to worry about which platform your friend(s) might be on, as the game will have full platform cross-play.

The campaign isn’t the only way to play Minecraft Legends, either. The game will also feature a PVP mode that allows the team the freedom to follow whatever tactics they wish.
