Witcher 3 has no shortage of romance options, but whenever I inevitably go to replay it, I can’t help but notice a few missed opportunities. Some characters only gave us a brief, but impactful look into their life and left us wanting more. Sure, you’re meant to roleplay as Geralt and by this point he’s essentially a one-woman man, but it doesn’t hurt to imagine other characters we wish could have been romanced in Witcher 3.

10. Tomira, the Herbalist of White Orchard

It’s clear Tomira has no love for Nilfgaard (Get in line, right?), but she certainly cares for White Orchard and its residents. Then there’s her expertise in herbalism, which some people tend to associate with witchcraft. Geralt even manages to unintentionally impress her with his own knowledge, and she also helps him locate buckthorn for baiting a griffin.

Be scared Yellowstone and South Park, as per Flix Patrol, there’s a new witch in town at the number three spot in Paramount+’s Top 10 ranking that might be looking to dethrone your current positions as one and two on the platform. The show they should be scared of? Sabrina, the Teenage Witch.

There might be a lot of 90s nostalgia going on in the Americas, as the comedy about a teenage witch with a talking cat is a hit in Canada, the United States, and also many South American countries like Colombia, Peru, or Costa Rica.

With Henry Cavill passing on the mantle of Geralt to Liam Hemsworth, fans of The Witcher need something now more than ever to brighten their day, and who better to do that than content creator eli_handle_b.wav? Instead of Liam Hemsworth, we’re presented with an alternative reality where Jim Carrey is the chosen one.

The hilarious parody video features Jim Carrey’s portrayal of Stanley Ipkiss, filling in for Geralt as a witcher, but not before donning Loki’s mischievous Mask. What follows is some bizarro world version of events that unfold during The Witcher 3, like Vesemir giving Stanley a Tommy gun instead of a crossbow.

There has finally been word on the fate of the annoying Crow’s Perch fast travel marker in the next-gen versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The new updated version will see the location of the previously horrendously placed marker moved instead to the courtyard.

That’s right, there will be no more appearing at the edge of town and having to run in. Now you’ll actually travel into Crow’s Perch proper when you have business in the area. As it turns out, the placement of the marker will actually be background flavor during the Bloody Baron quest as a villager works on placing it. Though, it won’t be immediately available on your first trip into Crow’s Perch.

Got some bad news here, sorry to say. It has been announced that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Xbox Series X|S and PS5 versions have been delayed, presumably out of the Q2 window they were in.

Today CD Projekt RED announced that the next-generation versions of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt have both been delayed.

The decision, which is based on “recommendations supplied by teams supervising the development of both games” places the next-gen update of Cyberpunk 2077 sometime in the first quarter of 2022, while the update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt slides into the second quarter.

The Witcher 3 is heralded by many as one of the great games of the last generation, boasting amazing storytelling, characters, and missions that still hold up over six years later. More than anything, though, the game boasts an amazing setting that is elevated by equally brilliant world-building.

Whether it is the lowly streets of Velen, the war-happy isle of Skellige, or the nobility of Toussaint, there is something different to appreciate about every single area in Witcher 3. Realistic fights and magic only serve to improve the atmosphere of the game, with each of Geralt’s fights looking majestic as a result.

With chances of any further official DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hund long having ended, it’s up to the talented Witcher modding community to keep Geralt’s adventures going, and this week a new story quest mod is doing exactly that. Called “A Night to Remember” by nikich340, it picks up just after the events of Blood & Wine in the beautiful region of Toussaint where another vampire familiar to Geralt is stirring up trouble.

Specifically, it’s centered around Orianna and the events after her own questline during Blood & Wine, and it’s for that reason you’re not obviously not only required to own the DLC but advised to have played her quest, Blood Simple.

Earlier today, CD Projekt Red revealed that they’ve come to terms with the Vancouver-based game dev studio Digital Scape. According to the blog post, the two have been in close cooperation since 2018.

The deal was finalized yesterday, resulting in the official creation of CD Projekt Red Vancouver. The studio will be lead by Marcin Chudy, who had the following to say regarding the acquisition:

Thanks to a combination of new, more advanced modding tools and a strong continued interest in the game after the success of Netflix’s adaptation, The Witcher 3’s mod scene has really started to blossom over the past 18 months or so.

It’s paved the way for talented enthusiasts to start adding proper quest expansions to the game for the first time. Earlier this month Twinfinite reported the release of the excellent Ciri’s Sole Momento story quest, and now we’ve got another two quest mods to look forward to.

There aren’t many games I can work up the enthusiasm to play more than once, honestly. But The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is different; it’s basically my digital happy place. And now, thanks to Nexus Mod user menschfeind13’s new and improved Magic Spells mod, there’s more reason than ever to experience the epic saga all over again.

Magic Spells has actually been out for a while, but this latest version enhances its performance and compatibility. Not only is it now better suited to merging with other mods, but there’s a new hotkey menu feature and extra customization options.

Having two swords, a crossbow, and the ability to set people on fire still isn’t enough for some people. Nexusmods user Roenaxx is apparently one such individual; their latest mod adds a range of flintlock pistols to Geralt’s arsenal of weapons. And while the purist in me says Witching and guns are a major no go, I have to admit it looks like a blast.

Geralt also looks like a total badass donning a balaclava and hand cannon, too. Like, full-on Geralt ‘Claude Duval’ the highwayman, badass.

Easily one of the very best open world RPGs released in the last decade, CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is celebrating its five-year anniversary this year, and you can bet that the developers are going to do something about it.

To start, you can now purchase a beautiful commemorative poster over on the CDPR store. It’s a gorgeous splash of all the main characters from Wild Hunt, including some of the more iconic enemies and monsters you can face in the game.

Now that the first season of Netflix’s The Witcher adaptation is in the bag, fans will be excitedly looking forward to the second. The good news is that we know that’s definitely happening — Netflix greenlit another season even before the mostly positive reception to the first. The bad news is that it probably isn’t going to be ready until 2021.

Still, the long wait isn’t enough to deter us from daydreaming about what’s next for Geralt and co. At least, not while that darn Toss a Coin song is still stuck in our heads! Today Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt released its financial results for the third quarter of 2019, related to the period between July 1 and September 30.

EA’s latest iteration of the popular soccer sim recorded the biggest UK launch of 2019 at the start of the month, displacing Borderlands 3 when it did and remaining unmoved even after Ghost Recon Breakpoint’s release two weeks ago. Whether PS4 exclusive MediEvil’s release can break the trend will be interesting to see next week.
